Gemini Full Moon

Writings like this are mostly found in my virtual community space, but I wanted to share this one publicly. Hopefully, I will keep writing and be able to share more here. We will see.

One of the things I find most intriguing about this Full Moon is that there is a Mercury-Neptune square which will repeat in December's Full Moon, due to Mercury's retrograde cycle.
To me this feels like an urge to notice nuance, to be discretionary, to move through the mass amount of information available to find the truth or rise about the pressure to determine one truth.

But let's focus on THIS full moon, yeah?.. Yeah, okay.

Keep in mind that this is set to an Aries rising chart, and the US eastern horizon time zone - so you will need to adjust for your chart and your time zone.

So, layers. πŸŒ•πŸŒ–πŸŒ—πŸŒ˜πŸŒ‘πŸŒ’πŸŒ“πŸŒ”πŸŒ•

Full Moons, generally, are a time where our emotional cycle is at its peak. Full Moons reflect endings, completions, culminations, and a state of fullness.

In the 28-day lunation cycle, this is where our emotions and subconscious may boil over and we catch a glimpse of what we are ready to release in order to move into the next cycle with the upcoming new moon.

The Full Moon is when the Sun and the Moon sit opposite each other in the sky/chart. It is the brightest the night sky gets, and so it is known as a time of illumination.

The Sun, as our consciousness, and the Moon, as our subconscious, stand at the poles of one of the 6 zodiacal axes. This can reflect in our lives, personally and collectively, as a time of balance - noticing where things are out of balance. Specifically, where our external (Sun) surroundings/choices/actions/consciousness are out of alignment with our internal (Moon) needs/emotions/dreams/subconscious.

Full Moons, like all lunations, are about our internal and emotional experience. When avoided, the energies get projected outward. The invitation is to turn inward and be with your emotions as they rise.

Gemini Full Moon

Gemini is a mutable air sign, ruled by the planet Mercury. Gemini is about the movement of information, communication, childhood, play, gossip, curiosity, games, learning, butterflies, media, mischief, chaos, and laughter. Gemini is the sign of the twins, able to see multiple perspectives and hold multiple truths.

Consider finding the Gemini house in your natal chart to sit with themes being activated in your life. If you have planets in Gemini, Sagittarius, Pisces, or Virgo they will also be activated by a Gemini Full Moon, and add nuance to what is coming up for you. (the whole chart matters, but... layers...)

2023 Gemini Full Moon

On Moonday, November 27, 2023, we have our annual Gemini Full Moon.

It is exact at 04Β° 51' Gemini-Sagitarius, at 4:16 am ET.

As we continue to layer on the data, we look deeper at the chart.
Where is the ruling planet? - Mercury.

Mercury is at 24Β° Sagittarius, the sign of it's detriment - as far as it can get to it's home sign of Gemini. As far from it's natural energy flow as it can get, indicating a time of needing to be creative, innovative, patient, and crafty in our Mercurial tendencies and expectations.
Mercury is joined by the Sun and Mars, both also in Sagittarius. Really building the mutable fire of it all - this can show as reactive interactions, loud boisterous exchanges, lots of information and changing of facts, etc. If you've been looking for a time to speak your mind or move through something, this energy is active! Courage and bravery exudes.

The real concern here is that Mercury is also in an exact square to Neptune. This blurs all the lines. This square can be difficult for conversations, receiving or sharing information, and all Mercurial themes. Things can feel confusing. You may also feel additionally tired or a heavy brain fog under this transit.
If you are able to flow through this energy and come into this full moon open to imagination and play and fantasy and creation -- yes, great. But if you are trying to get the facts, be understood, stay on track, or get serious -- prepare to be frustrated, my loves.

This energy could be great for writing and playing, for being curious and dreamy. But keep in mind that todays truth is tomorrows overstated headline and next weeks blatant lie.

Mercury is also in an exact trine to the North Node, which is an invitation to listen. To work with this trine, stay open to intuitive guidance and support. Breathwork, meditation, candle and fire work, dream work, free writing - all of these are ways to tap in to this energy and divine with the Universe.

The Mars-Saturn square is still present under this Full Moon. Hear more about the Mars-Saturn square in the MDM.
Remember: Mars = Go / Saturn = No

Venus is building into a conjunction with the South Node. This can indicate that relationship patterns will be present under the Full Moon and over the next two weeks as the light wanes and we release. Notice what is asking to be released, the South Node is the purge point.
We will talk more about this aspect in this weeks MDM, as it is exact on the 29th. [Mars Day Meetups , MDMs, are weekly live virtual meetups, accessible to patrons only. Sliding scale starts at $3.33]

Lots to look at, and these are just the initial layers.

Thoughts, wisdom, questions, etc are all welcome!
Please let me know what comes up for you, how you're working with this energy, or what you are carrying through this lunation. I love to hear from you.

XOXO
